Why was Sher Afzal Marwat expelled from the party?
Imran Khan knew Sher Afzal Marwat was a man of agencies, but Khan accepted his every move but could not tolerate one thing.
On April 15, the Saudi foreign minister met with Pakistani leaders and expressed concern over Imran Khan’s continued imprisonment. He expressed his concerns over political instability in the country.
Soon after, the next day Sher Afzal Marwat attacked Saudi Arabia. The aim was to convince the Saudi leadership that Imran Khan now considers them enemies. Imran Khan’s enemies had to increase.
It was a very subtle ploy by the establishment. Despite two years of continuous hard work, the establishment could not get the Saudi leadership together at the expense of Imran Khan. The Saudi leadership denied the fear of the people of Pakistan.
Sher Afzal Marwat was taken to do what the PML-N and PPP could not do.
After this, Imran Khan’s patience ran out and he decided to expel Marwat to send a message to the Saudi leadership that Marwat’s opinion was not the opinion of the party.
