Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s appearance through video link
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s ban on live broadcast of court proceedings is unjustified, discriminatory and an attempt to deprive the public of their fundamental constitutional right to access authentic information.
Nab amendments are not a matter of Imran Khan’s caste but about protecting the resources of 240 million Pakistanis, strengthening the state system of anti-corruption and protecting the overall national interest.
After Panama and Pandora Leaks, the latest Dubai Leaks also proved that Imran Khan is the only national leader in this country whose financial record is the most transparent and live and die, wealth and property are all in Pakistan.
An unscrupulous chairman at the helm of the NAB law, which Imran Khan wants to strengthen the corruption system by blocking amendments, played the role of the main facilitator against him in the May 9 false flag operation.
It was Imran Khan’s fundamental legal right to present his point of view before the court as a petitioner on this matter of national importance.
After the clear opinion of fellow judges, the Chief Justice could not oppose the appearance of the founder chairman through video link in the court, but he stopped the live broadcast of the court proceedings and made him a victim of discrimination.
During the hearing, despite appearing on video link from jail, founder chairman Imran Khan was deprived of giving his stand on NAB amendments.
Article 10-A of the Constitution mandates a fair trial while 19-A binds the state to ensure citizens have access to verified information.
Imran Khan is in the grip of the worst state revenge for political reasons without any crime or sin.
For the last more than a year, the state has imposed an illegal and unconstitutional ban on the broadcast of Imran Khan’s speech, photo and writings.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan should tell at whose behest he tried to justify this extra-constitutional ban imposed on Imran Khan by leaving the constitution and law behind.
The Chief Justice should answer that when the court proceedings are broadcast live as usual, then why this tradition was changed in a very discriminatory manner on the occasion of Imran Khan’s appearance.
