PAKISTAN Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) clarifies on DG ISPR’s reaction to press conference

PTI clarifies on reaction to DG ISPR’s press conference on May 7, 2024

General Ahmed Sharif’s press conference of May 7, 2024 was full of hatred, contempt, hatred and baseless political allegations, which was very painful for the Pakistani nation. The PTI, as pakistan’s largest representative party, was indebted to give a befitting reply to the terrible and frivolous accusations levelled against the nation in a contemptuous tone.

The PTI fulfilled this responsibility within the framework of ahsan and ethics.

And instead of counter-accusations, only corrected the facts and asked a few questions on which we hope that these questions will be answered in the form of facts, rather than threats.

It is regrettable that instead of adopting a professional attitude, a senior army officer adopted a false and poisonous narrative of political parties opposed to the PTI and rejected by the nation.

We demand that this irresponsible act should be investigated by the concerned authorities.

We would like to make it clear that all the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army, who perform their duties within the framework of the Constitution and the law, are respected for us and we value them.

The PTI, as a party, values all the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, considers them as the pillars of the holy land and cannot even think of any disrespect to them.

However, the PTI wants to clarify in this regard that we will not ignore the process of insulting public opinion and undermining the people’s mandate and will fully bear the responsibility of public response.

The people of Pakistan have not left the PTI alone since May 9 last year, despite the worst state fascism and repression, that is why we will not allow the people of Pakistan to be insulted at the hands of any government employee.

It is also regrettable that dg ISPR tried to belie public opinion through wrong figures.

Finally, we explain that continued confrontation is not in Pakistan’s interest and that Pakistan is in dire need of stability, which requires fulfilling its constitutional obligation to run Pakistan through genuine people’s representatives rather than handing it over to the puppets of Form 47.
