LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear a petition seeking a judicial inquiry into the import of wheat.
The court gave the Punjab government time till May 20 to file a reply.
Justice Shahid Karim heard the petition filed by Azhar Siddique Advocate, head of the judicial activism panel.

The caretaker government imported wheat despite its presence, the petitioner said.
There was no need to import wheat, but billions of rupees were benefited by importing it, the petitioner said.
A judicial inquiry should be conducted into the import of wheat.
