Day of Arafah

Day of Arafah

“The Day of Arafah is not a day for cleaning, shopping, sleeping, or relaxation. It’s a day of honor, greatness, and worship. Allah boasts about the people of Arafah to the angels, and it’s a day of freedom from the fire. It’s a day of obedience, effort, and worship, and the best supplication is the supplication of Arafah.

===================

Make the most of this day, and don’t let a single breath pass without doing an act of obedience or getting closer to Allah. If you were to lose a precious jewel from this world, you would be saddened, so how can you waste the best day of the year?

=====================

While the night of Laylat al-Qadr is unknown, the Day of Arafah is known, and it’s a day when Allah descends (in a manner befitting His majesty) and showers mercy and forgiveness.

======================

Here’s a beautiful schedule for the Day of Arafah:

1. Wake up early and prepare for the day with the intention of obeying Allah.

2. Pray two or four units of prayer before Fajr and supplicate to Allah while prostrating, seeking the good of this life and the Hereafter.

3. Spend time seeking forgiveness before Fajr, so you may be recorded among those who seek forgiveness in the early morning hours.

4. Prepare for the Fajr prayer five minutes before the call to prayer and feel that your sins are being washed away with the last drops of water during ablution.
