PM meets Chinese Premier
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held delegation-level meeting with His Excellency Li Chiang, Prime Minister of China, at the Great Hall of the People today.
On his arrival at the Great Hall of the People, a reception was organized in honor of the Prime Minister and he was presented a guard of honour by the People’s Liberation Army contingent.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed all aspects of bilateral relations and also discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest. The two leaders expressed satisfaction that the Pak-China All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, which is based on mutual trust and shared principles, is getting stronger with the passage of time.
Premier Li congratulated Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on being elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
The two leaders reiterated each other’s unwavering support on key issues and expressed their continued commitment and support for the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
