Sarim Burney, social activist and head of the non-profit Sarim Burney Welfare Trust International, has been apprehended in Karachi on suspicion of human trafficking.
The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) anti-human trafficking cell detained Burney at Karachi airport upon his return from Washington.
The arrest was made in a joint operation between the FIA and an international agency, as Burney faces severe allegations related to human trafficking.
