Evidence suggests that terrorist organizations responsible for attacks on Pakistani citizens and security forces are operating from Afghanistan with strategic support from the Afghan Taliban.
A photograph shows Commander Khalid Waziristani of Jaish Fursan e Mohammad (JFM), a group affiliated with Hafiz Gul Bahadur (HGB), at a terrorist training camp in Khost, Afghanistan, alongside JFM suicide squad members and the Afghan Taliban’s flag.
JFM is responsible for various attacks on Pakistani security forces, citizens, and places of worship.
On March 16, 2024, JFM and JUK (affiliated with HGB) jointly attacked a Pakistani security forces facility in Khadi, Mir Ali, North Waziristan.
The Pakistan Armed Forces subsequently launched airstrikes on terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan, resulting in the killing of several high-value targets.
These evidences challenges the Afghan Taliban’s denials of providing sanctuary to Pakistani Taliban groups, notably Gul Bahadur and TTP, within Afghanistan.
